No they won't. 95% of the remaining pop would flip to hib.
-
I only have one account. so im unsure of the stipulations. I find it hard to believe that you find that hard to believe that people run around with bots stuck to them or the bg. I know several who run skald bots.
-
The unhpapy folk left, and several of them came back to see "how EC goes" (im one of "those"). I will agree that CU will probably do it for me. I'll be gone again. EC turned into another BIG CHANGES patch, and without them rolling back several …

good luck Fate... put in a support ticket...... that they won't acknowledge.

I think he was being anecdotal, saying their new rr5 was block/dodge arrows while in melee.

There are compromises every way you turn. Possibly leave Rangers RR5 as is and disable their bow when used similar to HunterRR5. Couldnt apply to Scouts as their 20% range bonus on their RR5 would be completely negated.

I think BS actually made a good "Business" call for removing the Realm Bonus notification then. Very few would log into a realm that has 100% bonus during a primetime zerg timezone. I did say good business call.. i feel like the majority hates it …

If a realm holds all keeps, all towers, all relics and has no one to kill during a defense/offense (nothing to defend since its all taken), then what happens? it would be cool to find out.
-
@Shoke A whiteknight? Makes perfect sense....
-
I have zero problem with it. I just don't see any reason to fight it when fighting over insurmountable odds is futile (no matter which side you're on). I say join it, rather than fight it. Population will work itself out when the fun of pve'ing a…

Whats youre suggestion then Shoke. I'm not saying realm timers would help. I'm giving my theory of why they reduced it to 15 minutes. My suggestion is still to refuse to feed the Gremlin. Starvation probably wont work. But im all for jumpin…

BS removed the incentive to play the underpopulated realms. Population imbalance isnt a concern for people anymore since the incentive has been removed. Others have stated the obvious. Its easier to join the predominately superior Herorius Zerg (…
-
I'd suggest the opposite . With the realm bonuses gone (flat rate now), theres no need to do that. Just have everyone flip and join Hero and the Bunny for 2 hours of keep taking fun. @Impounded might disagree with my tactics, but he did agree …

I suck at both visi and stealth... and life... i need a "No longer suck at life" coin that i can purchase with Mithril...

They dont "have to pay" The previously inflated rps were addictive. We were all rp-aholics. EC introduced RP anonymous.. .they still allow you to binge by dumping some extra cash into the BS stockings though. They don't define it as pay to win t…

But offer no penalty to duo's, trios, small man, 8 man that rundown solos or smaller numbers? Your theory/solution could work there as well. I'm all for the stealth penalty as you've stated (and yes i love my hunter). Do something similar to the …
-
Its the chicken and egg though @Impounded . You arent going to change people playstyle or opinion. Have i solo'd, yes. Duo'd, yes, trio.. zerged.. yes .. yes.. and yes. My reasoning for doing any of the above is cause and effect though. I've dis…
-
Its not only stealthers that do that. Go to any of the 3 "solo" zones and you find duelers there who act similar. I tried to work on a new character bps. Never attacked anyone. I was rocking kings gear so when the rr11's that jumped me did so, i…

A decent strategy is to just let him PVE the realm down. No rps, no fun. Well... i wouldnt speak for him, but for lots of his minions there is a reason to follow. Stop giving them a reason to follow. Relics really mean nothing. Not when Hero …

I recall the banshee on hib who went rr1 to rr11 in 17 days during ghost keep several years ago. No worries on that now. Average 20-30k a night, play 3-4 nights a week.. rr11 will come in about 3 years.
-
Shrug... i guess tolerate it then. Its the big changes that they make.
-
Kat, try to imagine being a returning player from 2005... who for whatever reason decided to give this ghost one more shot. What incentive is there? Nostalgia wears off fairly quick. You yourself admitted that you've gotten your realm rank. Im…

A decade ago there were multiple servers still with higher population than what we have with the ywain environment. 100k may sound inflated. If population supported action, then the inflation wouldnt be a concern.

Back to workin at the burger joint for minimum wage again. It wont sustain attention for too long. They left the bonuses and quest in too long if there plan was to eventually nerf rp gain. I already find myself logging out after an hour again.
-
It's perfectly acceptable if they leave things just as they are right now. I'll patiently wait and watch. Who knows, maybe pop will start making a significant climb again
-
As i stated. i don't agree with that opinion. Several others do not agree. Thats the great thing about free market. No one is forced to play something. You like it, you play, you don't, you play somewhere else. Its simple. In the end i hope e…

I'll hit you up Phat, but my account expires again next week. Nothing enticing enough to keep me around for now. As i stated, i will cruise the boards when i can and when it looks interesting or when i see changes that appeal to me

I disagree @Tyrantanic , but you're entitled to your opinion as i am entitled to mine. You're not gonna change my mind, and im sure i wont change yours. I've also read your take on why timers won't work. My take is directly in objection to yours,…

I'll keep my hopes up and my fingers crossed. I did re-up this last month, but after logging in @ 5 times i chalked it up to wasted money for the time being. Each night i did log in , it was @ 8:30-9pm EST. Each of those nights there were 10-20 m…

Realm timers do work, not sure why they are adamantly against it. It is what it is though. I will keep re-upping every other month or so in hopes that pop will rebound. I think BS is doing the best BS can do.

loving the assist macro stickynote @Siambra . A true DAoC alum

It definitely made it tougher after the recent patches. If i were to make a new character today, i wouldnt attempt to finish my CL's by quest. I'd patiently wait until i got into an OW run or Cursed run. I'd advise the same to new players if they…

I think the situation has resolved itself for the most part. The community has managed itself. What ive seen in the last few weeks is this. The US primetime (mid) bg is non-existent (as a bg). We run several groups with others tagging along if…

Window/group/solos wasnt the issue when i atttempted. It was coordination. Everything nowadays leads back to community. If people want to follow they will. If people all want to get into one discord or chat program they will..... or they won't. …

The more i think about it, i don't see a way around it. It IS completely community driven. Unless you set rules sustained by BS, then the community does have complete control. Want to win?, flip realms to the higher bg realm and overrun and domin…

Hahha.. that works... Thanks Phat. I'm retiring soon too. sometime in the next 15 years

I guess ultimately that is an update. For an 18 year old game maybe thats good enough.

I can go along with the seasonal activities not requiring too much in terms of resources. Everything comes back to transparency for me though. The forums are inundated with "what is the plan"? questions. Instead of a response, we get "Hey we are …

Sorry to see you go @Realfinewine . Jen and i were discussing this recently. I'm afraid a lot will be heading that way when subs are up. Currently its play until you're fed up then head on over.
