I just stumbled across the answer. You have to get the level 48 quest "Aiding the Azure" in Druim Cain to start earning favor.

So you don't get improved standing by doing the quest, only the kills?

Thank you. I could get the flower box quest at level 15 on Ywain servers after completing the egg hunt. Seems weird that I have to be 50 to get the same quest on Gaheris. Do you need a quest to kill it?

Where in EV are the entrances to the labyrinth located? I tried porting into the lab and then zoning out, but I "do not meet the requirements" to do so.
