Original Launch player tried to return feedback

Hi all. I was there at launch of original DAOC and i just tried to get back into it but its a no go for me.
The main problem is that this ISNT the original DAOC, its some weird starter island with annoying quests. This means im missing out on that nostalgia hit AND its just an older, clunkier version of WoW questing.
Just cut us loose outside of Jordheim with nothing to do but kill snakes and brownies.

As it is i might try to push through later in the week until i can get off the starter Island just so i can get to see some familiar places afterwards. No promises though because im already bored of "kill 3 wolves, kill 4 Albion mobs".

    It's only for a few level's that you stay in the starter area then your back to the original lands. There is a series of quests around the original area towns which you can then do to level and dungeon quests as well.

    I doubt you'll be back to see this post at this point, but you can just talk to the porter in the middle of the little tutorial island town and it'll port you right to Mularn even at level 1. If you want to just run around the old zones and grind you can do that, just have to watch out for the higher level mobs added for the new quests they added. SI is mostly untouched, you might have a better time grinding out in SI than trying to avoid all of the new stuff BS added to the classic zones.

    Thank you so much! What a nostalgia blast to roam around East Svaeland! Im happily killing Ants and riding Horses around to sight see the towns. :)
