How do I move the ground target I am trying to set out from under my feet to somewhere out front of me?

You can use /groundset x (range, like /groundset 0 or /groundset 1500)

You can also make a macro of it so you can put it on your quickbar ( /macro 500 /groundset 500 )

You should join the DAoC discord. You will get somewhat quicker advice there. Furthermore, you will find people to group with. I'd happily level with you on Hib.

Driralin

You can also manually set it by holding down the ground target key (check /keyboard) and move your mouse up or down, and/or use your scroll button to change the elevation of your ground target.

. @Magicstryk .. although not quite up to date/thorough (ie. no /groundset), the /commands listing does help you remember a bunch of crunch.
