  Smite clerics are in a pretty good state atm and can be situationally very powerful. They've also earned themselves a spec duration single target mezz amongst a few other abilities.
  
  The new'ish 50 smite self buff Ascension is also very powerful but very limited situational wise. If utilized properly you can earn yourself a few deathblows before the duration ends. Iirc it reduces healing effectiveness and prevents the user from activating MoC for its duration but increases your damage by "100%" or up to max cap dps, i.e. if the target had 0% resist to your smite damage type, i'm reciting that from memory however and could be wrong.
  
  Their rr5 is still top tier against melee dps as well.
