reduce casting stun duration

Casting stun must be reduced by 2 seconds. Reduce healer stun, hib caster stun, cleric stun and mins stun by 2 seconds. Stun should be the most valuable of the tank's style stun.

    It still is as their stun isn't affected by stoicism and resists.

    some years ago they reduced the slam duration of all the non heavy tanks from 9 to 5 seconds ..
    maybe they can reduce the duration of all the casted stuns on all but one class in each realm to ... say 7 seconds .
    that would mean that clerics, healers and mentalists keep the 9 sec stun and chanters and eldritches stun duration is reduced to 7 seconds.

    it's just an idea ..

  • if you reduce casted stun you would have to do something about it being affected by determination etc as it would completely not work on high det/stoi tanks.
  • You shouldn't be casting stun on det tanks anyways... Only reason to do it is if you're solo and even then it's a wasted cast

    It already doesn't work on high det/stoi tanks.

    If it was anything, should be Eld and Enchanter get the longer one.

    It's almost as if you guys forget that clerics and healers are in every group (2x for healer) while mentalist is not.

    But yeah, eld.and chanter keep it, menty uses his set to get it back to 9 sec, nothing changed

    maybe a "die by klick on it" would be an option.....

    and important it should be implemented....
    before any kind fights get started....
    there should be a automatic that then,
    the enemys get portet to an "weaponless instance" with 2 Social workers as mediatior
    where they can "talk about it" if violence is now the only option...
    i am sure when we cover our enemy with love they surly preciate it...^^

    the mad looking Troll/Ogre/Bolg are surly feels unloved and discriminated and his agression is only a "helpcall"....^^

    is not really a fight or Art and requirre no skill......

    Ment and mini set arent a flat 2 sec increase, its 2 secs before resists, since decimals are truncated for spell duration and times rounded down to the second, best case scenario its only 1 extra second, while in certain high resists numbers/situation it can even be no extra time at all. @Shoke

    Casted stun is incredibly powerful in some situations because
    1) There is a minimum of 3 minutes and 51 seconds) every five minutes, where a purge5 character has no stun immunity with purge down.
    2) Many enemies have multiple things that may be purged (ment/eld/cleric- purging a mez to avoid a zerg's charge, etc).
    3) Many players are more comfortable playing in a zerg without a group and choose dd classes that can also heal. Ment and smite Cleric do this spectacularly. So you end up with the larger size zerg having a large number of "solo gunslingers" or whatever you'd call them
    4) Many players can't be bothered to template a Blacksmith Band or two. A character with 26 base heat resist +10cap from ring, +16 from minst/skald/bard +29 5min charge has 81% heat resist. Stun will last ~2 seconds and make light elds/chanters/ments/fire wizs cry. However, vs a set debuff group leading with 50% heat debuff, the stun will still last 6 seconds. New or returning players can find a blacksmith band under Aurulite Accessories in their bountycraft skill.

    Because we players are what we are, baseline stun can be incredibly profitable and will likely remain so, but there are counters, if people want to gripe. Buffing blacksmith band any further would just make it a must have and make light elds chanters and ments and fire wiz' worthless. The only thing I can think of would be to give some unplayed mid dps class a stun, even spec line, so every realm could farm casuals.

    I'll also note because it wasn't stated, that list casters stuns don't benefit from duration bonuses, and are still impacted by determination and stoicism in addition to tier 1 spell resists.
