Feature Request: Equipping Keep Guards

In the old days, it was possible to make and give weapons to keep and tower guards. I am one of the wierdos who really enjoyed doing this. I don't know how much "survivability" it really added to them, but it amused me, and I would log out with a sun belt on and even craft/spellcraft shields for the soldiers in my keeps/towers.

If I remember correctly, it was disabled after "CSR" Scruffybunny (sneer quotes) talked poor Masticorian into "giving away" his artifacts to keep guards to "fix a housing bug" - perhaps this iteration could bring up a dialog box similar to the appeal notification.so people don't accidentally give a starlite weapon to a passing guard. Or lock it to keeps/towers your guild owns.

I know it's a dumb little thing, but stuff like that is immersive, at least to hyper-nerds like myself.

As always, thank you.

- I intend to coarsen. I want stark contrasts drawn. I want polarization. I will not quietly accept clown-world so as not to upset anyone. I am not tolerant of our impending and increasing slavery.

Alas, Jarl Bledmere "does not want this item." Tried giving him a Sun Sword.

However, I CAN give them player made weapons' it seems. They happily just took some dragonsworm weapons and a shield..

    Most excellent.

Time to upgrade the keep lords.

    Ok did some testing:

    - Guards will not take Exemplar gear. (This is a good thing IMO - too good, too easy to get).
    - They won't take accessories. (Expected).
    - They won't take mythirians. (Expected).
    - They can use player made shields. (But they don't show them as being equipped. Unsure if this is a display bug),
    - They can use player made weapons. Excellent. I will start mass production. 150 TG ablative procs for the lords.
    - They will happily take Astral and other mob drop weapons.
    - They will take mob drop shields. (Also don't display, unsure if they work or a display bug),

Note 1: I am curious if stats other than resists impact the guards. I doubt skills + to skills would work, but I am uncertain if + to stats would. If so, would they behave like player stats, or stat buffs on pets? (I.E. damage reduction).

Not sure how I could test this.

Note 2: I tried handing them weapons and shields in different orders, to see if that made a difference in them equipping the shield. (It did not).
