End of Year Giveaway Streams!

Join me on our special end of year giveaway streams on our official Twitch channel with many more prizes than our usual giveaway stream! You won't want to miss these!

Pencil these dates into your diaries:
- Saturday, Dec 15th at 5:30 PM EST / 10:30 PM GMT and
- Wednesday, Dec 19th at 7:30 PM GMT / 2:30 PM EST

Prizes that will be up for grabs (not necessarily in this order):
- Race Respec
- Gender Respec
- Name Respec
- 425 Mithril pack (x2)
- 975 Mithril pack
- Spin on the Wheel of Loot

Each giveaways will be open for 15 minutes, and respecs are limited to one per person, covering both giveaway dates.

How do you enter or do you just have to be logged into twitch and watching. Ive heard about the giveaways but never seen or been involved before

Usually the streamer will tell a word to write in chat under x minutes. A program will pick up everyone that participates and take a random winner. Or do random number winner. ( Be sure to spell correct and with small and big letters )

Logged in to Twitch watching the channel

There is a 3rd party plugin we use for this, when giveaway starts you have to click an icon on the bottom right of the stream screen (red DAoC knot) and select Join Giveaway, and you're in! Do have to enter separately for each giveaway. Winner is selected at random by this program (Aub -_-) from those who've entered.

Seriously, I cannot watch this on Twitch or anything else AND play at the same time because for some unknown reason it takes so long to alt/tab now that by the time I do and get back to game the group has moved so far away I will be murdered trying to catch up. Just no way to toggle out and back and auto follow.
Incidentally, the times for porting to and from housing or the city have increased by a huge amount.

If you have a smart phone you can stream the Twitch channel through the mobile app

But I tried and couldn’t enter the event on my phone. You just have to alt tab once and click the enter contest button for each prize and takes like 30 minutes to get to the actual giveaway

Ohhhh that's my mistake, I wasn't aware that there was an actual feature that needed activated. I was more under the assumption it was a randomly picked member of the chat during the time of the stream.

Yes that would indeed make it quite difficult to play and participate at the same time unless utilizing two separate computers.

Oh no @Amp_Phetamine it's a plugin you have to click to enter, and that controls the running and selecting.

On phones/tablets/Twitch desktop app you're looking for a puzzle piece at the top of the chat in order to enter. In browser, it's the icon on the stream itself.

Ahh okay, thank you Beibs! I'll test entering the plugin on mobile and see how user friendly it is.

The alt tab taking forever started after a windows 10 patch awhile ago. I rolled back the patch but also found that it helps to run in I think full screen windowed mode (as an admin).

Not to derail the thread but here's the fix for the alt/tab bug in the April Window's 10 update.
